Auto Insurance Quotes State Farm

Auto Insurance Quotes State Farm
I called a few placees for an auto quote, but am getting such mixed rates I’m getting worried. Help!!?

I called Allstate first since I’m on my parents insurance and that’s the company they’re with, and they quoted me around 169 for LIMITED torte. Now, the car I want is a Mazda Miata mx-5 hardtop convertible and I realize that will be a bit more expensive to insure. I called State Farm and they gave me around the same rate. However, I called Geico and Nationwide and they each quoted me around 105-120 full torte. Am I missing something here? Which ones do I believe? Are Geico and Nationwide leaving details out and when I actually buy the quote I’m going to get charged moe than I thought? I watn to make sure I can afford this insurance along with the car payment and my student loans. It’s going to be very tight if I have to wind up paying 167 a month for insurance.

Thoughts?

Easy – they are not quoting the same coverages. Geico is probably giving you state minimum ( I assume you are in PA because of the tort option), which is $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident and $5,000 property damage. Which is NOT sufficient. You know what your car is worth, imagine if you hit a car worth more than $5000. You’d be screwed. You should go with the company you feel comfortable with. For me, it would be State Farm. Also, you should ask what the rest of the coverages are, so that you can get an apples for apples quote from all places – as that is the only true way to compare based on price.
