Auto Insurance Speeding Tickets

Auto Insurance Speeding Tickets
Will state farm increase my auto insurance if I get a speeding ticket??

I got a speeding ticket going 88 in a 70 in GA. That’s 2 points on my license. I was wondering if a rumor that I heard was true. Some people were telling me that they give you your first 2 points for free i.e. wont raise your payments for just 2 points. Is this true? Do you have proof?
I have my state farm account in SC

If it was your first ticket, you might not see any change in your rates. Some states have laws governing when and why auto insurers can change policyholders’ premiums; often, insurers are not allowed to raise your rates after just one speeding ticket or other citation.

Different companies will have different policies (I’m not too familiar with State Farm’s).

It can raise your premium for about 3 years though.
