Has anyone used the direct insurance and Canada had a problem or problems?

They offer great rates for automobile insurance, but first consider switching to them, I'm curious whether other people in Alberta, British Columbia, or have had pleasant or unpleasant experiences with them.

I know nothing about the particular company, but you can probably check their stability with AM Best and Standard & Poor's. Does your county have an insurance regulator? You may be able to verify them with complaints consumers against the company.
