Auto insurance: one car, two drivers?

We just bought a new car. It’s my dads car, I drive it about 15% of the time when he is not using it and I want to go out. I am 18. Obviously I will be rated much higher than he is. Would I be the one rated on the car even though I only drive it 15% of the time or will be be the one being rated on the car? There are no other cars in the household.

I believe when they ask how many drivers are using it and you check 2 they ask the age of second driver and there info. unless you have a bad driving record your rate shouldn’t go up. oh & your rate usually goes up if your under 18. so I’m pretty sure it would be based on your dads
