What is the best rated auto insurance in California and why?

I am having trouble finding reviews of persons in relation with auto / home insurance. I am located in Southern California. I do not mind paying a premium for better coverage.

That's because there are none. No one is above "better" insurance company "Best" is in the eye of the beholder. For many people, that means cheaper.
