Auto Insurance Numbers

Auto Insurance Numbers

When you get a new auto, or your auto insurance runs out, you want the best auto insurance price you can get. The fact is that if you are not careful, you could end up paying 20-50 per cent more to insure your auto than you need to. Nevertheless, the auto insurance business is very competitive, and you can get very low rates.

To get a good auto insurance price, you need to shop around, and get at least three quotes, and preferably more. But the question is: How? Sure, you could get on the phone, as most insurers have freephone numbers, or you could just leave it to a broker to get the best price. Or you can use the internet. These are the choices.

You won’t get the latest information on the phone

There are some disadvantages with either using a broker or shopping around by phone. First, you are not likely to get to all the best auto insurance prices. The Yellow Pages are never completely up-to-date, so if you rely on that source for insurers you may not reach a new, competitive company. If you leave it to a broker, you will only get quotes from companies the broker deals with – not every insurer. In fact, some insurance companies deal only directly with the public and do not use brokers at all. Because they do not pay the broker a fee, you usually get a better price, and these companies are hungry for your business, which is good news for you.

Googling not the best answer for this one

The most up-to-date place to find auto insurance prices is clearly the Internet. But this is one case where you may not get the best answer by Googling for auto insurance quotes one by one. The reason for this is that many of the websites listed are not actually insurers nor brokers but directories of insurance companies – and these sites are not always updated regularly. Also, you will be surprised to see quite a few sites that are out of date. Yes, that happens even on the Internet!

You really want to get to a quicker way, where you can be sure that the source of auto insurance prices has can access a large number of insurers. There are a number of sites that do this. You just key in your details and you will get a great comparison of quotes, giving you the best auto insurance prices.

Auto Insurance Wa State

Auto Insurance Wa State
Want to be an auto insurance agent?

I am from WA state and I want to get auto insurance agent license because I want to work on a insurance related school project.

I am ready to appear for the exam but WA state requires affiliation or sponsorship from an Insurance Agency. Considering I am not planning to sell auto insurance how can I approach an auto insurance agency and request them to vouch for me so that I can get agent license?
Ok let me explain a bit more in detail. The school insurance project might turn into a commercial one and having a license is required in that case. I need to be an agent so that I can advise people about auto insurance.
I looked at the WA website it says if you want to be an agent (Advise people on auto insurance) you need a license

http://www.insurance.wa.gov/industry/licensing/application-procedures.asp

To get an license you need affiliation/appointment

If you don’t plan on selling insurance, you don’t need a license. Period.

I just checked the WA state website. You need an APPOINTMENT in order to sell insurance, WITH your license. Apparently you don’t need the appointment to GET the license, but without an appointment, the license by itself isn’t going to do you any good.

SO. You can take the education courses you need to take, pay your testing fee, take the test, pass it, pay the licensing fee . . . and do exactly WHAT with the license? Nothing, because you can’t sell insurance without an appointment, and you can’t ADVISE without a broker’s license.

An AGENCY can’t sponsor you. A COMPANY has to sponsor you. HUGE difference. NO ONE is going to sponsor you, unless you’re going to work for them.

Auto Insurance Liability Deductible

Can you answer these statistics problems?

I need to know how I go about solving this problem and what the answer is. I don’t even understand what is being asked!

You want to compare the yearly costs of auto insurance companies. You select a sample of 15 families (some with one and some with multiple drivers). To make the data comparable, certain features, such as the amount deductible and limits of liability, are standardized. The sample information is reported below. At the .10 significance level, can we conclude that there is a difference in the amounts quoted?

Auto Insurance Agent Salary

There’s a lot of preparatory work you must to in order to lay a strong foundation for availing the best possible auto loan. There are several questions you’ll need to answer, like, What’s the amount of loan you need? How much you can pay in monthly installments, without having to compromise on your lifestyle? Can you do with a less expensive car than you have in mind? How many vehicles will help you break even? Once you have answered these questions, you must proceed to the following considerations:

1. If you possess a completely clean credit record and have never ever defaulted on any payments, the chances are high that your bank may even provide you with an unsecured loan, based on your clean credit record. However, this is very rarely seen since the credit bureaus have very strange ways of functioning. If on a certain day you are their best-rated person, the following day you can be down in the dumps just because you forgot to pay your monthly installment since it was your wife’s birthday. That little mistake is enough to earn you the nationwide bad credit label.

2. Although it would mean an additional expense on your pocket, but if possible, you must get an auto loan insurance for your vehicle. In case of any unfortunate event in the future, resulting in complete damage to the vehicle, you’ll have the insurance policy to cover up the outstanding balance of the auto loan amount.

3. In case you have a bad credit history, try being a little conservative about it, however, ensure that you repay all your installments on time to redeem your credit ratings.

4. You can also opt for meeting up with the auto loan brokers. They can help you significantly in the negotiation process and usually have good contacts that can get you attractive discounts on your new car.

5. If you are a full time employee with a company, you can also choose the option of getting a novated lease. Novated leases are the agreements done between the leasing company, you and your employer. The payments are deducted on a monthly basis from your pre-tax salary. In case you switch jobs in between, the agreement and the vehicle go with you too. A novated lease that is fully maintained is covered up by the leasing company for all the maintenance costs. All you pay is just a monthly sum as agreed with the leaser.

6. You can even get into a CHP (Commercial Hire Purchase) arrangement to finance your vehicle. In this method of financing, the purchaser hires the automobile for a certain period of time, after which the ownership of the automobile gets transferred to the purchaser.

7. In case you opt for a secured loan, make sure that you get the loan first off. Do not wait for insurance till the time your vehicle arrives. Your lending agent will appreciate your consideration and will probably offer you better conditions.

Irrespective of your current credit situation, you can always find an auto loan provider who can get you a tailor made loan for your needs. In fact if you go online, you can easily find several options in a matter of few minutes. So don’t give up on your dream car and get yourself that auto loan to make it possible.

Auto Insurance Scenarios

Auto Insurance Scenarios
car insurace policy sign up disclosure?

I am in the process of signing up for a new auto policy. Is the scenario below something I need to disclose to a insurance company? I used my fathers car to go to the gym, the car was parked in the parking lot when it was hit by another vehicle. The driver found me in the gym and told me he hit my car. We exchanged insurance information and the car was a write off, as it was too old to fix. Do I have to disclose this infomation to insurance as the car was registered under my dads name, nor was I present in the vehicle or at fault when it was hit in the parking lot?

Generally, you would want to let the insurance company know of any and all accidents.

Just explain to them that your father had a prior claim on his parked and unattended vehicle. Let them know that you were “involved” because you were the last to operate the vehicle.

That should have no bearing though on your premiums
