Can I take back my car?

I have a car and loan on the car in my name. The car is being used by a former friend. She is making the monthly payments. There was a contract written up between me and this friend. Agreed was to have full coverage auto insurance at all times, make monthly payments on time, and to properly maintain the vehicle through manufacturer service intervals such as oil changes, coolant flushes, transmission, and fuel filter to name a few. However, none of the services have been performed on the vehicle. Do i have the LEGAL right to take back the vehicle and if so, what type of legal guidelines do i need to follow? Such as a notice that I will be taking the vehicle back.

The car wasn’t your to sell unless you had a clear title in your name. You are still legally and financially responsible for the vehicle until the loan is paid off. If the former friend failed to fulfill her obligations under the contract, get it back.

Try your car insurance company first, sometimes they are good. But if not, State Farm has the lowest motorcycle insurance because they let you get it without medical coverage. So if you don’t have good health insurance, you might want to go ahead and pay for medical on your bike.
