Motorcycle Insurance Types

Motorcycle Insurance Types
What type of motorcycle should i buy?

I want something quick, nice, yet inexpensive, somewhere around 3500 – 6500. I want a street bike. It is my very first bike and I want something that i wont get tired of easily. I am very athletic. Height – 5′ 8″ and weigh 170. Also, I am 19 years old, what should i expect to pay in insurance. I was considering a GSXR 1000…any suggestions?

DAVE,DAVE,DAVE,You say this is your first bike? Can you ride a motorcycle, especially one with a lot of torque and HP? My advice is to take a Motorcycle safety course ,state approved. A lot of places like vocational schools or private courses are offered and this is a good way to learn what to do and not do.I took an advance course in Oct. and after riden’ for 37 yrs I thought I could ride a bike I learned many good techniques and escapes in a tight jam. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RIDERS COURSE BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING!!!!!!. This course completion will also help to reduce insurance costs too

Auto Insurance Transfer

Auto Insurance Transfer
Transfer auto title from my brother in NC to LA?

I have a brother who left his car with me after being stationed in the Germany for 3 years. He no longer wants his car and wants to donate it to me. How would we transfer ownership and title being that he is now in Germany? The car was originally registered in North Carolina and is now in Louisiana. Insurance and inpection have since expired.

Assuming your brother is the title holder, and the vehicle is free and clear of any liens because of financing, he would sign the title as the seller, have it notarized, and ideally also make out a bill of sale that he is transferring his interest in the vehicle to you at no charge. Many states don’t charge for transfers between family members.

You would take those documents to the DMV, where you would get a title issued in your name, and information as to how to get tags on it and get it back on the road. Do not drive it until you have insurance in place of course.

Auto Insurance Data

Auto Insurance Data
Can new auto insurance company find an incident not reported with DMV but claimed with current insurance comp?

I want to change my auto insurance comp, i have claimed an accident with it for which i did not get a ticket. So will it matter if I don’t report it to the new company while asking for quotations? Do insurance companies talk to each other or share data?

It is probably a matter of public record, and yes, they share information between companies. If you don’t report it, and they find it, you have committed fraud. If you don’t report it, and they don’t find it, and you ever make a claim, it may turn up then and would be cause to deny your claim.

Bottom line, tell them now.
