Auto Insurance Secrets

Can new auto insurance company find an incident not reported with DMV but claimed with current insurance comp?
I want to change my auto insurance comp, i have claimed an accident with it for which i did not get a ticket. So will it matter if I don’t report it to the new company while asking for quotations? Do insurance companies talk to each other or share data?
It is probably a matter of public record, and yes, they share information between companies. If you don’t report it, and they find it, you have committed fraud. If you don’t report it, and they don’t find it, and you ever make a claim, it may turn up then and would be cause to deny your claim.
Bottom line, tell them now.

Why is my car deleted from my auto insurance??
I just received a policy change in mail with one of my vehicles dropped from my insurance policy without any reasons. This car was recently involved in a car accident and likely to be a loss and the fault was totally on the other party who hit my car while it was parked. Not sure if this has anything to do with it being dropped without request (I haven’t heard anything from my insurance after I reported the claim except for the initial acknowledgment that the claim was assigned to an adjuster and an appraiser came to take a look at my car last week) Anyone know why my car would be dropped from the coverages?? I am infuriated and I have to wait till morning before calling them but any insight before that is greatly appreciated!
and the effective date of the policy change is a couple of weeks before the car accident…
there more than likely going to make you a settlement on it,it may not be what you want it to be,but their making sure its not going to be fixed or driven again, when you call them make sure they know you do have a standing claim with them, they might sometimes forget this, but usually when the do this they are going to settle out with you,but make that call,it doesn’t sound right that they do this before they do settle, usually they settle then take it off the policy, their kind of doing this one backwards, good luck with it.

How do you get auto insurance for an exchange student?
If the exchange student gets a US drivers license (not an international one!), the host family can add them as an operator to their auto policy for the length of the visit.

when getting an auto insurance quote, can you lie?
if you lie to get discounts, can they find out and do anything? i’m about to buy new insurance, and they ask if you had any violations in the past 6 months, and i do, but if i skip that part, can i get in trouble? also do they do a background check if you say your a good student when you don’t go to school at all?
You shouldn’t lie about stuff like violations. They will run an MVR on you when the agent writes the policy and the underwriters will catch it. You will also need to provide your grades for the good student discount otherwise you will not get it.
